belated Mothers Day posting
Yesterday was one of the best Mother's days that I can remember. I had all of my family there my wonderful husband and all four of my kids. My mother was there as well as my aunt as well as my daughter's nurse. The day was beautiful and sunny and warm here in Richmond. We went to lunch at Mexico Restaurant. We were serenaded by a man in authentic Mexican dress and strumming a guitar. Nickie expecially loved this as she is a true music lover and I think this is the first time we have ever taken her anywhere with this type of environment.
The food and the company was fantastic. We had 3 generations to share stories. We laughed and I believe mom had a tear or two in her eye. All 4 of us Mom's received red roses at the end of dinner.
Brandon made a beautiful card at school along with a sheet with his hand prints for me to frame to remember this fleeting time as a little boy. I'm amazed at how much he has grown in just one year. His teacher took pictures of each student and framed them individually in keychain photos for the mom's. He's such a ham. If I can get that uploaded here you will see just what I mean. I think you can see the mischief in his smile.
Nickie worked hard on a special braclet for me and Shaun and his fiancee Alexis gave me a beautiful summer purse. I know Jackie felt bad cause she didn't give me anything but I also know that she loves me very much and it isn't about the gifts.
We left the restaurant and gathered out front for a shot with all my family... this doesn't happen often so I will cherrish it dearly.
OK so I'm not always happy, though I strive to be. Here I tell about my not so exciting life, but the life I live with my handsome, loving and a little bit crazy husband, daughter and son. Yeah, I guess I'm a little nuts too! Somehow it all works out!
