OK so I'm not always happy, though I strive to be. Here I tell about my not so exciting life, but the life I live with my handsome, loving and a little bit crazy husband, daughter and son. Yeah, I guess I'm a little nuts too! Somehow it all works out!

Celebrations continue!
In January Bob and I celebrated 27 years of marriage. We had an awesome weekend in Williamsburg! Time alone with the man I love, walking in the brisk night air after a romantic dinner at Captain Georges. Last weekend was my birthday and my entire family was here celebrating with me. I have been so blessed. Bob and I are looking forward to several getaway weekends with Brandon and Nickie this year. So we are going later today to the RV expo to see if we can find an RV that works with a wheelchair. We think the "toy" carrying type might fit the bill. We may however decide to continue using hotels, condos or looking into time shares. Not sure just yet what is the best fit for us. We only know we want to enjoy as many weekends and vacation time that we have together. Making that happen when you have a wheelchair is complicated to say the least. I'd love feed back from those of you that have experience traveling with a motorized wheelchair. If you have done it with an RV tell me what you did to make it work.

9 weeks
Even as I type that I'm in complete shock, 9 weeks till graduation. These last 2/12 years have truly flown by. There is so much to do to prepare. So much work still to do. So many tests, exams and NCLEX. I've been applying everywhere and my head is spinning trying to figure out where to go and sort through what offers there are. It's happening so very quickly. Tick, tock, tick, tock. For right now, its spring break and I am going to try to relax and enjoy. Until next time!

I MADE IT!
It's official! I've been accepted to the RN program at my community college! The next 2 years will be tough! I won't have much time for blogging, eh, I know I haven't blogged much anyway, I won't have much time for much else. I can use your well wishes and prayers. I'll try to post when I can. I'm off to enjoy the few weeks of free time I have between the end of summer classes and the start of the most rigorous time of my life! I'm off to the Lake!

Beach memories
The weather was fantastic for most of our trip, with mostly sunny days in the 80's. We took a trip to Ocracoke Island. The Ferry ride over was great.
We spent most of the day walking through the town and shopping. Both Nickie and Brandon enjoyed the stroll and the final outcome which of course was souvenir shopping. Nickie scarfed up on some wonderful beach jewelry. Brandon got some pirate stuff, can you say ARRRRRR! We ate at the Jolly Roger which is our favorite spot to eat on the island. Its an open air covered deck area at the marina. Every other year we have gone the heat made it nearly impossible to enjoy the meal... notice I said nearly. The food there is really good so not even the heat would keep us from eating there. This time though with the temperatures as they were and the constant ocean breezes it was truly divine.
We rented a 4x4 to make the drive out onto the point in Buxton. This is the only way we can get Nickie out on the sand as her wheelchair would just bog down in the sand and since even those beach wheelchairs cost a fortune this was the least expensive way to go.
